Spend mana to call Phoenixes and Rams onto the board — fresh threats conjured mid-battle.

A familiar board. Unfamiliar magic.
A fast tactical duel of spells, summons, and a champion — your Ward — that changes every match. One game it’s a Beast that stomps everything beside it; the next, a Moon Mage sniping across the board. Both players draw the same spells, so every win is skill, not memorization.
The battle
A tight 5×7 board, one champion per side, and a spellbook that’s never the same twice. Easy to learn, deep to master.
Spend mana to call Phoenixes and Rams onto the board — fresh threats conjured mid-battle.
Three spells a match, dealt at random: fireballs, freezes, shields, and storms.
Every game hands you a different Ward — your champion — to protect and to win with.
The glowing mana row fuels your spells. Hold it to out-resource your foe every turn.
Your champion
Every game you lead one golden Ward — a champion drawn fresh from the rotation. Escort it to the far row, or protect it to the death. Each one rewrites how the board plays.
Steps one tile up, down, or sideways — then stomps every tile around it when it lands. Corners are the only safe approach.
Moves one tile any direction and hurls a cross-blast of fire two tiles away. Stand on a diagonal and you’re safe from it.
Moves one tile, then fires a piercing beam in five directions — forward, the forward diagonals, and straight out to the sides.
The spellbook
Freeze, poison, blast, displace, summon — twelve spells in the pool, three dealt fresh each match.

Why Wardlock
All the depth you loved about chess, none of the study tax.
No openings to memorize, no meta to grind. Every game is a fresh position you solve on the spot — skill you can feel, not a book you studied.
Thirty seconds a turn, hard cap. A whole tactical battle that fits in a coffee break.
Win by marching your Ward to the far row or destroying theirs. Games end decisively — no stalemate grinds.
However you want to play
Solo, across the table from a friend, or against the world — same rules, your call.
Escape Mount Wardlock — seven chapters and their bosses (part one of three).
Sharpen your game against the computer, at your own pace.
Challenge a friend directly and settle who’s better.
Pass one phone back and forth — the board spins 180° to face whoever’s up.
Get matched against a real player somewhere in the world.
The world of Wardlock
The world rests on four Wards — the ones who can touch the fire at its core without burning. There was a fifth. They sealed him beneath the mountain, behind a door with five locks. Now the call has come early, from the North.
Seven chapters stand between you and the gate
A gift Liora grew — now it wants you gone.
Eight feet of guard, wedged in the only way through.
The grieving Ward of the North. He’s expecting you.
